Are you looking for a way to get the young people of your parish involved in ministry and missions? If so, OCMC has the perfect solution. This year on Mission Sunday (March 1) participate in the 2009 Coin Box & Lesson Plan program! This program allows children and youth of parishes all over the country to begin the Lenten Season by learning about ministry and missions through personal involvement and participation.
When you sign up to be part of the Coin Box & Lesson Plan program, you will receive as many Coin Boxes as you need to send one home with each child and/or youth in your parish. Over the course of Lent, spare change and offerings can be placed in the Coin Box to be collected at Pentecost. These prayerful gifts of love will help support the work of sharing Christ with a world so hungry for “good news” in these days.
When you sign up you will receive a set of Sunday School Lesson Plans as well. These Lesson Plans can be used on Mission Sunday or throughout the Lenten and Paschal seasons, according to the needs of your parish. They are age-group specific, teaching children, youth and adults about the central commission of the Church, to make disciples of all nations. Sunday School Lesson Plans from OCMC are invaluable tools that will help plant the seeds of love and service in the hearts of those who will be tomorrow’s missionaries, priests, supporters, and leaders.
